Ski and Team Gear

In order to participate, students are required to have the following equipment:

  • Skate and classic skis
  • Skate and classic boots
  • Skate and classic ski poles
  • Running shoes
  • Clothing appropriate for cross country skiing and outdoor dryland training

Recommended Gear:

  • Skate and classic roller skis
  • Roller ski poles
  • Training skis (an additional pair of classic and skate skis)

Notes:

  • Team members are given access to participating brands of ski gear and clothing.
  • Students who are unable to acquire their own required ski gear can receive assistance from the club, which offers quality team gear, including skis and poles.

CMU Race Suit, Jackets, and Warmup Pant Return Policy

  • Jackets and Warmup Pants: If these items were provided to you at no expense, and you wore them for three seasons or fewer, you are required to return them to the head coach upon your graduation or departure from CMU.
  • Race Suits: If a race suit was provided to you at no expense, and you wore it for two seasons or fewer, you must return it to the head coach upon your graduation or departure from CMU.
  • Other Team Apparel (hoodies, shirts, hats, etc.): These items are yours to keep permanently.
  • To permanently keep the race suit, jackets, and warm-up pants, you may be offered the option to purchase them from the team at 50% of their original cost, at the head coach's discretion.
